Family With a Lot of Boys Expecting Again
Always since Jay and Kateri Schwandt announced that they are expecting their 14th child belatedly this spring, their telephone has been ringing off the hook. The million-dollar question on anybody's mind: After 13 sons, will they finally accept a baby girl? No ane can't wait to observe out... except the Schwandts themselves.

This baby will likely be the couple's concluding, they said. "We are just equally excited about this pregnancy as we accept been nearly all of the others," Jay said. "We miss having a infant around. But in general terms, we are start to feel similar nosotros might exist done after this."
They are not trying to accept a girl, he said with a express joy. "We could be trying forever!"
The couple, both 43, married just out of high school and began having children while they were still in college. They continued to grow their family even every bit Jay attended law schoolhouse and Kateri earned a Chief's caste in psychology. The Schwandts live just outside Grand Rapids, Michigan, with most of their 13 sons still in the house: Tyler, 25, Zach, 22, Drew, twenty, Brandon, 18, Tommy, 16, Vinny, 15, Calvin, thirteen, Gabe, 11, Wesley, 9, Charlie, 7, Luke, vi, Tucker, 4, and Francisco, 2 — who, until after this jump, is the infant of the family.
Oldest sons Tyler and Zach have finished college, while Drew and Brandon are a junior and freshman, respectively, at Central Michigan University. The family is a member of Our Lady of Consolation Cosmic Parish, where the younger boys all go to school through the eighth class before attention public loftier school.

Big families and boys are familiar themes for the Schwandts; though Jay comes from a family of but two children, Kateri is the 13th of 14 siblings in her family and has 1 sister who has 10 boys of her own.
Making a big family work is "all virtually fourth dimension direction and patience," said Jay. "Nosotros have a proficient routine. Our older ones assist with the younger kids, and it really helps that we accept several actress drivers effectually!"
Withal, Kateri said being pregnant at 43 is harder than it was when she was younger.
